How to Use Gro Power Fertilizer

Now that you know the advantages of using the Gro Power fertilizer let us discuss how to use it. In this guide, we have carefully enlisted simple instructions on how to use Gro Power fertilizer for different gardening needs and various types of plants.

1.      Gro Power Fertilizer for Lawn and Turf

Use the Gro-Power Plus 5-3-1 for lawn and turfs. Add 20 to 25 lbs. of the fertilizer per 1000 square feet of your lawn and turf. Fertilize at an interval of 8 to 12 weeks.

Gro-Power Premium Hi-Nitrogen 14-4-8 can also be used. Add about 7 lbs. of the fertilizer per 1,000 square feet of turd. You can also alternate it with Gro-Power Plus 5-3-1 during the colder season.

Aerate the lawn or turf at least twice a year. Mow vertically or aerify your turf and lawn at the end of March or the first of April. And for the second time, repeat the process at the end of October. It is best to use the fertilizers right after you aerate.

2.      Gro Power Fertilizer for Trees

For trees, use the Gro-Power Plus 5-3-1. Use about ½ lbs. of fertilizer 14 inches above the soil around the tree. For trees in areas covered by ground, feed the fertilizer lightly into the soil around the drip line.

Water the soil thoroughly after feeding the fertilizer into it. Regular turf fertilizer application for younger trees growing on turfs will be sufficient to sustain their growth.

Feeding the Deep Roots

Dig or auger holes in the vicinity of the drip line to feed the deep roots. This method will increase the growth rate of older trees and help reach the deeper roots in the soil. It also helps provide nutrients to the plants in areas with problematic soil.

Dig the holes at least 18 to 24 inches away from each other. Use the Gro-Power Plus 5-3-1 fertilizer as per the instructions given above and divide the fertilizer needed by the number of holes.

Before adding the fertilizer to the holes, mix it with an equal proportion of soil and insert this mixture into the holes. Watering is essential after adding the fertilizer is added to the holes.

Tip: fertilize the trees about three times every year.
