1. Insufficient watering

Cilantro may turn yellow due to insufficient watering. Likewise, if watering cilantro is undesirable, the leaves may also turn yellow from excessive moisture.

It is better not to water the plants in rainy weather, but you need to thin out and loosen the soil. If it rains often, then the plants should be placed on higher elevations.

2. Soil is poor

My cilantro can turn yellow if the soil is poor. If you notice that the leaves have turned yellow, then it is worth feeding with nitrogen fertilizers. Dissolve a tablespoon of ammonium nitrate in 10 liters. Water and pour over the cilantro bed. You can make an infusion of nettle and pour it over your plant as well.

3. Deep shade

Cilantro can also turn yellow in deep shade, so it is better to grow it in partial shade. This can make each plant lacks nutrition and moisture. Thinning plantings is necessary since thickened plantings make plants weak and drooping, and the leaves can become lethargic.

Growing Of Cilantro

It is advisable to grow cilantro outdoors after plants like squash, cucumbers, and related crops. To grow cilantro in your garden, you need a well-lit area closed from drafts.

It grows well in partial shade, but the shadow is constrained from it. You cannot sow cilantro in the lowlands. Otherwise, it will get wet before ripening. Cilantro grows best on neutral or slightly alkaline loamy or sandy loam soil.

The soil for sowing cilantro is dug up with hummus, mixed with a small amount of wood ash, which can be replaced with complex mineral fertilizers at the rate of 20-30 g per the same unit of area.

Sowing is carried out from March to May. Cilantro seeds begin to germinate at a soil temperature of 4 to 6 °C, but the more the soil you throw the seeds warms up, the faster the seedlings will appear.

Dry cilantro seeds are laid out in 2-3 pieces in shallow grooves at a distance of 8-10 cm. A 10-15 cm distance should be kept between the grooves so that developing plants do not obscure each other from sunlight.

Seed material is covered to a depth of 1.5-2 cm, after which the bed is watered. Depending on the variety of cilantro, the weather and the storage conditions of the seeds appear within one to three weeks.
